With the upcoming salary increases and back pay, we wanted to make sure our members understood how they might change their TDA contributions if they wish to do so.
To change your contribution electronically you can follow the steps in this pdf provided by BERS. Members submitting the change through the MSS portal will need to go in between November 9th and 14th (by 5PM).
You can also change your TDA Contribution by filling out this TDA Investment Change Form and submitting it to BERS. You can email the form to BERS at Brespon@BERS.nyc.gov, if you email it is suggested you put 'Custodian Retro-TDA' in the subject line. You could also fax it to (718) 935-4124 or (718) 935-3830 or mail it to the address found on the form. Alternatively you could bring the form to your next bi-weekly meeting and turn it in to your district steward. Members submitting a physical application will need to apply by November 10th.
Directions for changing your 457 will be sent in a separate email. Please be aware that the online access is the only method available for changing the 457 rate.
