Well—summer 2025 is officially here. This May was especially eventful for the Ritchie Family as my son Jackson (my youngest) graduated from High School and will be headed off to Purdue University as an engineer major in the fall.

Kara and I will officially be "empty nesters" soon!!

I will be enjoying this summer with both Jackson and my daughter Addison, who will be a senior at Truman State this year, before they both head off to college in the fall.

On June 1st, CNBC reported that the House has officially passed what’s being dubbed “Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill,” which included language that would permanently extend the current enhanced federal estate tax exemption and even increase it—from approximately $13.99 million per person to $15 million per person.
