Next Wednesday, May 20, is the day that has been designated by the State of Connecticut to reopen many businesses. This will include the non-essential retail businesses, like mine, that have been closed for the last months.
HOW DO WE DO THIS???
In compliance with the rules that have been set by the State of CT, and with the goal of protecting myself, my family and employees, and YOU, please carefully read below, there will be "shopping options" for everyone! We've missed you, we'd love to see you,
Marji's Yarncrafts will open for customers to enter beginning May 20, 2020
with the following procedures in place:
We will begin with shortened hours;
. We will limit the number of customers in the store at any given time, and if we are at capacity, you might have to wait for a short time.
You will be
TO WEAR A MASK
(unless you cannot due to health reasons) when entering and shopping in the store, and make every effort to maintain a 6' distance from others. There will be hand sanitizer at the entrance that you must use upon entry.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN MASK!
BE OFFERING HANDS-ON KNITTING HELP!!!
If you need knitting help, you need to call. If we can't help over the phone, and there isn't a YouTube video that works, we will try FaceTime. Once we've exhausted all that, we'll figure out what to do!
THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
Right now we will focus on getting up and running again. Once it is considered safe and appropriate to do so, we'll work on that.
We will have an in-store cleaning/disinfecting procedure in place, to include wiping down common surfaces and a separating partition at the sales desk. We will continue to monitor the latest recommendations and implement them.
IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE COMING IN WHEN THERE MIGHT BE OTHER CUSTOMERS:
We will be happy to try to find a time that will work and make an appointment for you to come in and be here on your own with just one shop employee. You are welcome to come in, browse, get some inspiration, say hello. There is no pressure to purchase just because you have a "private showing"!
WE WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER "PORCH PICKUP"!
Just as I have been doing since early April, you are welcome to call ahead and have your purchases put out on the porch rack for pickup. We will do this indefinitely, and you can charge it ahead, or bring a check and pay when you get here. There is a designated envelope outside for payments. We can also mail your purchase to you. Orders for porch pickup will be taken by phone (860)-653-9700 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org . Please do not use Facebook or Instagram for orders - too many cracks to get lost in!
Since procedures and protocols are changing all the time, this plan will be in place until such changes may occur. We'll be open more hours as business levels change.
(Please do not depend on Google for store information!)
PLEASE! IF YOU ARE SICK, HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO ANY VIRUS, OR YOUR IMMUNITY IS COMPROMISED......
DO ... NOT ... COME ... IN!
