September 11, 2020

Every September we have our Annual Forum and our Annual Meeting. The Annual Forum is when we will provide you with information and updates about our church, propose a new budget, present potential bylaw changes, and give you information about the candidates for the Board of Directors. The Forum will take place online on September 20, at noon. The Annual Meeting will be the following week, Sunday September 27, also online at noon. At the Annual Meeting, we will vote on the things presented at the Annual Forum. Both the Forum and the Meeting are open to all members, regular attenders, and friends of the church. At the Annual Meeting, only members can vote, but all may attend.

You must register to attend the meetings (click the image at the top of this email to register.) You only need to register once, your registration will get you into both meetings.

Our denominational and local church bylaws allow for meetings to take place online. We are fortunate that Florida is a state that allows nonprofit organizations to hold online meetings as well. Per denominational requirements, virtual voting is allowed, but absentee voting is not. This means that if you are a member who plans to vote during the meeting on September 27, you must be in attendance online for the meeting, either by logging in to the video meeting on Zoom or joining us by phone. If you are only able to join by phone, and not by Zoom, please contact us and let us know. We will have a plan in place to allow phone users to vote, but we must know ahead of the meeting time.

This year, all members will be notified about the annual meeting by email. We are aware that some members do not have email addresses, we will be reaching out to those members by mail.

Thank you for your care and patience as we move forward and conduct the business of our church, even in these challenging times.

 You are loved
Rev. Jakob
