GCF is a free, stackable, skill-building program that helps create the skilled employees that the workforce is lacking. It also brings opportunities to low-income students and diverse populations. We also know that the better skills a person has, the more likely they are to enroll in college and get a jump start on a career.
Upskill programs benefit organizations, too. It’s more practical and efficient to improve the skills of your existing workforce rather than searching for and hiring new employees who have those skills. For example, a software company has a customer service agent with great potential who struggles with written communication. An old-school manager will give the agent poor performance evaluations and tell them to do better, or the company will find someone else for the job (who invariably lacks the same skill). A servant leader will skip all that nonsense and upskill the agent with GCF’s Business Communication playlist.
GCF Global has established sound partnerships with the YouTube Learning network, which is a channel that hosts curriculum-relevant topics in physics, math, and biology, language studies, study hacks, and much more, from YouTube's education-focused creators. GCF has also partnered with Google Grow via its Digital Garage learning platform. GCF is always looking to expand its partnerships to sustain and expand its skill-building instructional video series, which it offers in three languages.
