Join MENTOR Virginia and your mentoring program peers on Wednesday, November 17th from 9:00 – 10:00 am at Community Coffee Hour! We’ll be joined by four licensed mental health professionals for a panel discussion on how mentors and mentoring programs can help youth manage anxiety and depression. Here is a sneak peek of some of the questions our panelists will be answering:

  • How can adult mentors and volunteers support young people who are struggling with mental health?
  • What resources can mentors and programs connect young people / their families with when they are struggling with mental health?
  • What is the best way for mentors to check in with young people about their mental health?
Please register to participate, and pass the registration link along to any mentoring or youth development professionals who you think would be interested. The more the merrier!
Meet Our Panelists!

Let's Talk About Program Evaluation on 11/4!
Take a lunch break on Thursday, Nov. 4th and join us for Q&A time with expert mentoring program evaluator, John Harris. Evaluation doesn’t have to be complicated, and to prove it, John will join us in his famous Hawaiian shirt to help demystify the process and answer questions like:

  • How can my program get started with program evaluation or take our evaluation to the next level?
  • How much should my program be budgeting for evaluation?
  • If my program doesn’t have a budget, how can we still do evaluation?
