Time to Think About Your Electrical Panel

Having an out-of-date electrical panel can cause all sorts of problems, from energy efficiency issues to creating a fire hazard in your home. But how do you know when it's time to upgrade yours? Read more in the link below.

Is your panel out of date?

It's Electric!

Hey friends, Bill here. I wanted to check in and give you an update about our electric vehicles because I have so many great things to say about them! At Connected Technology, we like to walk our talk, so we have six electric vehicles in our fleet. This includes four e-Transit service vans, a Chevy Bolt EUV, and I drive a Hyundai Ioniq 5.

We very much like our EVs and I love my Ioniq 5 for so many reasons!

Can you imagine,

  • We drive our service vans a lot and when gas is over $5 per gallon, we save $500 per month per van on fuel!

Here are some numbers that might be helpful to you.

For my Ioniq 5

  • I get about 4 miles per kilowatt hour (kwh). This is comparable to a Tesla model 3 or a Tesla model Y.
  • I am a PG&E customer and at current gas prices of around $5.50, this would be equivalent to a gasoline car getting about 55 miles to the gallon for the same price.
  • However, if I were charging my car with SMUD or Roseville Electric, it would be comparable to 135 miles to the gallon because the cost of electricity is even less expensive!

As well, the cost of maintenance is much much lower than that of a gasoline vehicle, as I have

  • no oil changes
  • brakes only have to be done once every 100,000 miles
  • there are far fewer moving parts

The cost of electric vehicles has come down significantly and if you are looking to save money, an electric vehicle is a fantastic option! And of course, we'd love to install your EV charger for you!

Beyond the money savings, I have enjoyed my electric vehicle more than any other vehicle that I have owned. It is very,

  • quiet
  • smooth
  • powerful
  • fast!

One of the reasons that I purchased a Hyundai instead of a Tesla is that it has an 800V charging platform that allows me to charge the vehicle very fast when I am charging at a public fast-charger. I can fill my car from 20% to 80% in only 18 minutes. This works really well when I'm travelling! The other thing I like about my Hyundai is that my controls are easy to use and I didn't have to get a degree in computers to figure out how to operate my car.

2 electricians got into an argument... It went on for 5 days... They just couldn't find any common ground.

Shocking.

How can we help?
