Greetings!
In 1854 the lower deck of the Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge opened for pedestrian travel between the US and Canada, offering the opportunity later taken by escaping slaves to find freedom from their oppressive slave masters. Bridges iconically represent a passage from one place to another. Adversity—as a result of COVID-19—has touched almost every life in our world, pressing us to escape from the resulting pain and discomfort. Watch our dialogue with Dennie Patton in the above video about the counter-intuitive bridge opportunity penned by Paul in 1 Thess. 5 as a powerful pathway to freedom ...even when adversity remains.
This is the final week of a spe cial six-week email and video series discussing the following questions many are facing:

Know a friend or family member who may be struggling with one of these questions? Forward a  link to this email or share on social media:
Even better, take the opportunity to study " Practicing Thanksgiving" with a friend through Zoom video conferencing! (Watch these two video tutorials to learn how to use Zoom video conferencing: 1) "Zoom: Getting Started" 2) "Zoom: Advanced Features for Disciple-Making" )
The Practicing Thanksgiving study provides powerful insight and practical next steps to spiritual, emotional and physical freedom in the midst of adversity.
Dennie tells the story of her late husband's journey of giving thanks while in the middle of life-altering adversity.
Giving thanks in adversity—as difficult as it sounds— bridges the gap from anxiety and bondage to peace and freedom.
Our mission as a ministry is to encourage and equip you to live into God's story. As our six-week series on adversity comes to a close, if there is any way we can specifically pray for you or resource you on this journey of following Jesus, please let us know!
