THE FAAIITTH ACROSTIC

How do you love someone by FFAAIITTH?

The FFAAIITTH acrostic contains Godly insight into our daily approach to interacting with people. Please pray the following biblical truths daily and your witness will blossom and grow as never before

Happy Thanksgiving Ted,

WHY am I so excited about the FFAAIITTH acrostic? Here's why it is so important to me personally in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

As a new believer I was zealous, studied the Word, listened daily to preachers and mature students of the Bible, had fellowship with both couples and men only. In addition, I shared my faith whenever there was opportunity- which was often.

However, there was one major weakness, I did not witness in love until I read verses like: “I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains—but if I have no love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:2‬ ‭GNT

The FFAAIITTH acrostic took me approximately 30 years to put together. From my time in CBMC and my 19 years in WB, in the witness experience the FFAAIITTH Acrostic is a creation of my many years of learning and focusing on love and then teaching and training others to do likewise

Encouragement

Bottom line recommendation: learn to ask meaningful questions, listen intently and fall in love with someone’s soul and be compelled by love not duty to share your faith in Jesus...where you live, move and have your being.- Acts 17:28 (my life's verse for approximately 50 years)

The FFAAIITTH acrostic is the result of my personal discovery of learning how to love others leading to a natural witness in all environments and the joy of seeing others grow in love that compels them become John 3:16 witnesses- love others so much they share their faith in Christ

FIRE:

Rev. 3:18- “buy from me gold refined in the fire.”

The fires or trials in our lives can be blessings in disguise if we will endure and get to know God as we go through the

challenges of life; they can actually become a springboard to greater personal ministry, especially witnessing.

FOCUS:

John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

If God didn’t love the world, He would not have given us Jesus Christ…but He did love the world. If we don’t love the world, we will not give the world Jesus Christ.  Sharing Christ out of duty wears

thin, but love will compel us to share the good news...as we FOCUS on others more than ourselves

A WORD:

1 Cor. 3:6- “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.”

John 4:37- "One sows and another reaps”

We don’t always have to be the whole enchilada, explaining from A-Z the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sometimes God will lead us to just share a word, pray for them, hand them a booklet or Bible. We can be excited as part of the team and a seed planter.

ASK:

James 1:19- “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak…”

Ask meaningful questions, listen intently, fall in love with the soul of another person, and be compelled by love to share the good news. The person who asks the questions controls the conversation and shows love to the other person!

INTEND:

Rev. 3:14-22- “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot…you are lukewarm- repent”

People who intend to be part of the process daily will be involved in many lives. Those who don’t intend to be part of the process will be involved only in fellowship and become lukewarm. Witness Breakthrough encourages inward fellowship and outward witnessing for good spiritual health. As the healthy body breathes in and out, so the healthy body of Christ fellowships in the

church and witnesses outside.

INCONVENIENCE:

2 Tim. 4:2-  “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage- with great patience and careful instruction.”

We live in such a self-centered society that we don’t want to inconvenience ourselves by reaching out to people; sharing Christ will involve inconvenience in some form. People can be

very time consuming, but what better use of our time than to focus on presenting the eternal good news. If we don’t have time for people, something’s wrong with our time management!

TEAM:

Rom. 15:16- “with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit”

I Cor. 3:7- “So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

When we realize that God draws all men to Himself through the knowledge of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we are privileged to be part of the team of planting, watering, and reaping.

We can relax and enjoy the concept of team witnessing instead of putting the pressure on ourselves, that we have to do it all ... By participating with the church body instead of just as an individual, each member should increase his personal witnessing dramatically

TRANSITION:

Mark 10:19-21- “'Teacher,' he declared, 'all these I have kept since I was a boy.' Jesus looked at him and loved him."

By asking meaningful questions and listening intently as Jesus did with the rich young ruler, we will transition our conversations from meaningful discussion to direct spiritual dialogue. The ability to transition does not happen overnight, but with practice it becomes natural. WB enhances transitioning skills that will prevent endless rabbit trails by learning to ask meaningful questions and move the dialogue to the gospel.

HOLY SPIRIT:

John 14:26- “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

1 Cor. 2:13- “This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.”  Acts 4:29-31- "to speak your word with great boldness…filled with the Holy Spirit”

The Holy Spirit is our counselor, comforter, and leader as we reach out to an unbelieving world. Diligently we should call upon the Holy Spirit within us for wisdom in our daily discussions with people. Without reliance on the Holy Spirit, we will wear out

with our own efforts and be totally frustrated. Rely on the Holy Spirit to show you when and how to talk, and the fruit of the Spirit will be evident: love, joy, peace, etc.

When we trust in the Holy Spirit the witness outcome is in His very capable hands...our job is to be guided by love, humble and faithful and without embarrassment clearly proclaim our faith in Jesus ...the wristband is of invaluable help in helping us keep the Gospel clear and as led invite others as we have done to claim Jesus as Savior from all their sins (this last week I invited a 25 year old young man to ponder the words on the wristband that we thoroughly discussed including my testimony...and if it is the desire of his heart soon claim Jesus as his Savior..my close with people after discussion is always unique to the situation...a leading of the Holy Spirit

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving

Based upon many years of personal witness experience when we become John 3:16 witnesses we'll know the fruit of the

Holy Spirit that is often beyond expressed words...LOVE, JOY, PEACE...

PLUS the FFAAIITTH acrostic has been a proven major WITNESS help to many-VERY RECENTLY at Church of the Apostles in Atlanta...my prayer that it helps you too...It is especially helpful in small groups
