SMALL BUSINESS EMERGENCY LOANS
Following  Executive Order 20-15 , DEED has established a loan program to assist small businesses affected by  Executive Orders 20-04  and  20-08  following the COVID-19 pandemic. This is intended for small businesses who have been denied funding by other resources, or have a gap while they are waiting for their funding to begin.

Loans will:
  • Range from $2,500 to $35,000 and will be based on the firm’s economic injury and the financial need.
  • Be interest free.
  • Be paid back monthly over five (5) years and the first payment will be deferred six (6) months with potentially partial forgiveness.
  • Be provided to only Minnesota-based businesses.

They are still working on getting all of the pieces up and running, but hope to have it ready by week's end. More information HERE .

Donations and Volunteers NEEDED
March FoodShare has now also been extended through the month of April !
March is the best time to impact hunger and stability in Dakota County through Minnesota FoodShare’s March Campaign. It is the most impactful annual food drive in the state. Any gift to the food shelves in March qualifies for additional funds from Minnesota’s FoodShare. In addition, food shelves access discount food programs that stretch you donation dollars even futher!
THANK YOU WALMART!!!
The Chamber, 360 Communities, Lakeville Public Safety Foundation, Schmitty & Sons and Walmart had our second annual food drive scheduled for April 4. Once this outbreak hit, Walmart in Lakeville began packing and pre-selling the bags. On Saturday, 360 communities picked up 926 pounds of food and 4 boxes of new plastic bags. Thank you so much to Tom Gilbert and staff!
If you do not follow The Open Door on Facebook, please do so! Director, Jason Viana, and team are doing some great videos about how we can help.
CHECK THIS OUT!
For those of you driving up 35, from the south, check out the new shared billboard artwork. This billboard is purchased as a partnership between the CVB and some of our Lakeville hotels.
