March 2021

How do you stay connected in uncertain times?
More than 200 women gathered last weekend by Zoom for a Pivot Don't Panic! leadership event. This year, the event replaced the Conference of Presidents, held annually in February in Chicago.

SWO presidents and their invited guests learned what it means to be a leader in these uncertain times. We share with you resources and videos of the event on our special Pivot Don't Panic web page.
Devotion: What does stewardship really mean, and what does that mean to me?
What does a steward actually do, anyway? A steward is someone who takes care of something people care about with an eye to the future. Farmers know that. That’s how they take care of their land.

Gather: An outward-facing Lent
The January/February, March, and April issues of Gather explore our vocations and lift up the vocations of others in a series of daily devotionals. Subscribers to Gather's e-newsletter can download the PDFs of these devotionals for free. Simply confirm your subscription here!
How are minimalism and Christianity connected?
Boldcafe's monthly B.Y.O.D. (bring your own dinner) addresses minimalism and what it has to with our call as Christians?

The Rev. Becca Erhlich, popular writer, reality TV show guest, and minimalist guru will share her thoughts about strengthening her faith during Lent.

Register now for the Thursday, March 4, dinner (7 p.m. CST).

Don't miss this exciting and easy way to connect with new friends.

Our blog: Keeping the Sabbath
How do we serve God, ourselves, and our loved ones better? By keeping the Sabbath, writes Executive Director Linda Post Bushkofsky. "By keeping the Sabbath, we trust God to see us through to the other side of this pandemic. By keeping the Sabbath, restoration can happen." From our most popular blog last month.
