Purdue University Offers No Cost Business Research
Nearly 38% of new Hoosier jobs were generated by second-stage businesses (10-99 employees) in 2019, higher than larger-sized enterprises in the state. Purdue University’s Center for Regional Development (PCRD) is now accepting company applications to participate in its no-cost business assistance program. The University invites stage-two companies (10-99 employees) negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply to receive research and guidance through its “Economic Gardening” program.
Indiana to Drop out of Federal Unemployment Insurance Program, Reinstates Work-Search Rule
Indiana’s unemployment rate is just below 4% and jobs are taking longer to fill, reflecting a pre-pandemic labor market. Employers will be relieved to know Governor Holcomb recently announced decisions to end special pandemic unemployment programs, including the $300 per week federal unemployment program. The State will also reinstate the rule requiring those receiving Indiana unemployment to continue searching for work.

In January, BW was able to send co-owner Ashley Auld and stylist Sarah Barnard to barbering school and they graduated on May 21! We believe we are the first barbershop ever in BVille!
