It’s easy to get the words “predict” and “prepare” confused in our minds, particularly when it comes to planning ahead. In reality, we can prepare for things that could otherwise end badly for us if we didn’t, even if predicting is an imperfect science – sometimes, about as imperfect as the weather.
Preparing for a cyber incident, in particular, might not be on your horizon as a company this year. But it’s costly when it happens – often in the millions of dollars – and that’s precisely why we’re devoting so much focus to it right now. I’m pleased to say that I’ve even collaborated with a colleague and friend on a new book on this subject. There’s much more to be said below.
In the meantime, tell me what’s on your mind when it comes to your company’s cyber wellness. What are you trying to be better prepared for – and how could we help you?
