Aries AND Retrograde Veronica Lee?

Can you say "Intense chaos?!"

One of the first things I learned in the world of woo-woo was a basic (VERY basic) understanding of astrology. My mom was an astrologer (by hobby) as well as a metaphysician (by conscious choice). As a child I would attend her meditation and "all that stuff" group where we'd practice psychic skills, holding our hands over people as they lay on the floor, and learn very non-conventional ideas and practices. I loved it!

And soon I knew all twelve zodiac signs including their general dates, glyphs, elements, and characteristics. Most importantly, I knew my mom was an ARIES! (In about 4th grade, I made her a clay necklace with the Aries symbol on it.) She was a fiery red-head with a lot of gusto, passion and opinions. And she was my hero.

When Mercury goes Retrograde, we can expect a bit of chaos. When it also happens during the sign of Aries, we can expect highly impulsive, bold and even temper-tantrum-y chaos.

As we continue to navigate the current Mercury Retrograde (which goes direct around the 25th), it's important to return to our center.... again, and again, and perhaps in every corner of our own house!

My mom, who passed away in 2018, would be turning 74 this week. In her honor, I am sharing an article she wrote seven years ago this week: Ten Altars in Every Room which appeared in that summer's OmTimes Magazine.

10 Altars in Every Room

By Rev. Tess Pender, M. Div.

Twenty-five (or so) years ago, there was an attraction at Disneyland in Southern California. It was not a ride, but an experiential movie. Guests entered a large, dark, cool room, where a movie projected high on the walls of the circular room. It was a popular way to escape the torments of the afternoon Los Angeles sun. The movie was a journey through China including visits to the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and a climb up to the tiny country of Tibet... Read More

How do you stay centered, Veronica Lee?

In addition to having MANY (maybe not ten) altars in several rooms of my home (and my office, of course), I have found that I have "talismans" of sorts; special things I carry with me that are meaningful to my soul.

Are "altars" your thing? Or do you find other meaningful, grounding ways to center, especially when things get chaotic?

I wish for you the beauty, reverence and peace that you deserve!

In Joy,

Veronica
