Brookings: Indiana could have Saved Thousands of Jobs in 2020

Work Share – a partial unemployment program to help companies avoid layoffs during rough times – is an Aspire legislative priority. Brookings just reported Indiana employers could have saved thousands of jobs if this program was available in 2020. What is Work Share? How could it benefit your business? The IBJ produced a masterful report explaining the program and its legislative latency in Indiana. But we think there is hope.

High School Pitch Competition Application Deadline Approaching

Entrepreneurism and growing local businesses is part of the roadmap to get Johnson County’s economy to the next level. This includes inspiring students to explore entrepreneurism. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. and The STARTedUP Foundation organize a great program local high school students should explore: the Innovate WithIN pitch competition. Inside Indiana offers a great overview and the program application is online here.
