Rail Strike Would've Been Worse than All Previous Supply Chain Disruptions Combined

Stalled contract talks between railway companies and its workers had raised concerns over a major rail strike until last week.

Railway companies said halting rail service would have caused a $2 billion-per-day economic hit. However, a bill passed by Congress and signed by President Joe Biden on Friday bound workers and rail companies to a proposed settlement — avoiding an economically devastating work stoppage...

How the four-day workweek gained momentum — and could change the future of work

The idea of a four-day or shorter workweek is gaining momentum worldwide — a big thanks to the remote work boom during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A recent study from 4 Day Week Global, a nonprofit group that has been conducting four-day week pilot programs in several countries, found that employees expressed satisfaction with their overall productivity and performance.

Understanding Conveyor Systems

Conveyor Systems are mechanical devices or assemblies that transport material with minimal effort. While there are many different kinds of conveyor systems, they usually consist of a frame that supports either rollers, wheels, or a belt, upon which materials move from one place to another. They may be powered by a motor, by gravity, or manually. Employee Spotlight

Chad Clayton, Machinist

Professional Summary

My name is Chad Clayton and I have over 10 years experience as a machinist with most of that being in lathe work. I play a duel role of Machinist with most of my time and effort with AMS. But we also have another company, Ball Transfer Systems, where I am in charge of the machining of our machined press product line.

I am a proud father who spends his free time being dad, fishing, and playing pool.

Previously, I worked for another manufacturer machining steel castings. I have also spent time as a freight driver with my Class A CDL.

In my opinion, working for AMS is great because of the flexible schedule for a person with a family. As well, it is a great team-oriented business where management listens to employee input and ideas.
