Announcements & Programs
Startup Canada is the gateway to Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem that points entrepreneurs in the right direction, eliminates barriers, and champions their needs to the private and public sector partners.

Startup Canada has just launched one of their flagship programs - Startup Global that supports entrepreneurs to go global. They provide global and exporting exposure through workshops, boot camps, pitch building, advisory support, digital resources, and more—all packaged in an accessible and easy-to-use portal.

They have planned a pitch competition where Startups and Scaleups can compete to win $2,500 (startup category) and $5,000 (scale-up category) in the semi-finals and up to $25,000 cash and up to $100,000 in support in the grand finale. For more information, click here.
Business & Sustainability
Canadians’ attitudes have shifted toward sustainable shopping practices. PWC's 2021 Consumer Insights Survey showed that when it comes to food and non-food purchasing decisions, many consumers are willing to pay a premium for products that are local, organic, and ethically or sustainably produced. Canadians are also concerned about excessive packaging, with many choosing to avoid the use of plastic where possible.
