As we have learned this year, “Home Visits” can happen anywhere. The best so far might have been at the pumpkin patch. The visits were just like individual field trips and proved to be joyful for kids, parents and staff alike... and each child got to pick a pumpkin to take home!
The Relief Nursery team continues to deliver a care package to each family every other week. In addition to groceries and books, these always include activities designed to boost parent-child interaction. Our Halloween-themed care package included:
Many thanks to Stahlbush Island Farms for their donation of 60 cans of pumpkin! We added them to care packages along with kid-friendly recipes from theFood Hero website.
