Charity is huge. But you can't just go. You have to learn how to push yourself to interact and converse with as many people as possible. Make friends with the board members, and get a seat on the board, or offer yourself and your business for charity fundraising. Pick one that you truly believe in. People can spot insincerity a mile away.
Eat at the FINEST restaurants in your town, always have drinks in the bar before eating, talk to everyone you know AND everyone you don't, and leave a business card along with a generous tip at all times.
Network, network, network. Play golf, tennis, go to church or synagogue, the opera, ballet, plays and charity balls.
Every showcase should have a piece in the center that is an expensive WOW piece with all different price points around it.
