As we close out 2022, we have so much to celebrate at Impact Public Schools. For the second year in a row, Impact is the top-performing elementary school serving 60%+ low-income students for both English Language Arts and math in King and Pierce counties. Multilingual learners from our founding class of students performed in the top 2% of the state for ELA and top 3% of the state for math. While we are immensely proud of these results, we are most proud of the incredibly joyful learning environment that has made these outcomes for students possible.

Next fall, we are launching our fourth school in Renton, starting with Transitional Kindergarten - 1st grade, and ultimately growing to serve 594 students through 5th grade. After many years of listening sessions and meetings with community leaders, it is clear that families in Renton desire a high-quality public charter school option.
The opportunity gap in Washington remains significant, with discrepancies in academic outcomes all too common. White students reach proficiency in Math by an excess of 25 points as compared to their Black peers and 23 points points as compared to their Latino peers. We are passionately dissatisfied with these results and are humbled by the opportunity to open a new school with Renton’s diverse community. We cannot wait to see our future Impact scholars thrive and prove what is possible.
