Supporting Their Success, Together
Dear Paul Families,

Our program is officially in full swing, and it has been such a joy to see all of our scholars and families reconnecting with faculty and staff and engaging in our vibrant community of learning. I especially enjoyed seeing all of you at our Back to School Nights and our first round of Student-Led Conferences!

As we head into October, I want to remind you that it’s your participation and support that make our events and programming successful. We are fully committed to providing your scholar with the best possible education and opportunities for growth, and we rely on your active involvement to support their learning. There are so many ways to be an engaged parent, whether it’s cheering on our Pirates at a home game, attending a Parent Action Group (PAG) meeting, or simply talking to your scholar about school and getting to know their teachers and counselors.

In the coming month, we have several exciting community events including our first PAG meeting, homecoming game and dance, and our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. We hope to see and hear from you at these events because your voice matters and makes a difference in our programs. Your involvement makes Paul a better school.

In Service,
Dr. Tracy L. Wright

Our Programs Prepare Scholars for College... And So Can You!
From the very first day of school, we strive to create a college-going culture among our scholars. Our juniors and seniors are taking our SAT preparatory course, which includes a mock SAT in September to practice for the October test day. Scholars in eighth and ninth grade are starting college tours this month, including visits to Howard University and George Mason University. These opportunities along with our rigorous academic program, support services, and enrichment activities help cultivate college readiness and promote academic excellence. Learn more about preparing your scholar for college on our website .
Back to School Nights See Strong Parent Engagement
More than 200 middle school and high school families joined us for our annual Back to School Nights this September. Our school-wide celebrations featured presentations by school leaders, music, performances, and meet and greets with teachers and counselors. Parents had a chance to learn about Paul's policies and expectations and to experience the school day. It was a great way kick off the school year!
Family checks in at our high school Back to School Night.
Parent Action Group (PAG)
