Transforming the lives of individuals of all ages with vision loss
News & Views February 2018

I guess the groundhog has spoken: 6 more weeks of winter it is! Fortunately, we've been busy at Future In Sight planning recreational programs for both youth and adults for the remainder of the winter season. I encourage you to visit our events page to stay up to date on all that's happening. We know that the cold winter months can be long but attending group activities has proven to be beneficial to one's state of mind. Come join us!

There are some new  opportunities  for you to support our mission to transform the lives of the more than 30,000 NH residents living with sight loss . The Hannaford Cause Bag Program is donating proceeds from its Franklin location during the month February and we are holding a Community Supper at Robert's Maine Grill on March 7th and 14th.

Volunteer support is more important than ever as we begin to grow our network. With increasing referrals and program opportunities, the need for drivers is paramount. Any amount of time you have to donate is appreciated. This past fall we announced our "I Volunteer Because....Campaign to share the many reasons why our volunteers love what they do. Will you join us?

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on current events.

Thank you all for being a part of the Future In Sight family.

With gratitude,

David S. Morgan
President & CEO

February has arrived!

The Hannaford Supermarket located in Franklin, NH has chosen
Future In Sight as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Cause Bag Program!

For the entire month of February, every time the blue reusable bag with the good karma message is purchased at the Franklin Hannaford, we receive $1.

This is truly a great opportunity for us and an easy way for you to show your support for Future In Sight!
Please go to the store, find the reusable bag rack, and buy a few bags!
Remember to spread the word ---   the more bags purchased, the bigger the donation to Future In Sight.

Grant Highlight

The Mary Gale Foundation (MGF) recently awarded Future In Sight a $30,000 grant to support low-income, elderly women in the Greater Manchester area. The Mary Gale Foundation is a private, grant-making foundation that supports housing, health and other in-home services and programs for low-income women age 65 and older.  Future In Sight and the Mary Gale Foundation have been partnering together to provide specialized vision rehabilitation services, aids and devices, peer support and other social support services, and volunteer assistance to women in their service area for more than 10 years.  One such program is the successful partnership with  Mitsy Kit . These adaptive sewing and quilting workshops meet monthly in Manchester. This program gives us the opportunity to transform the lives of our clients by allowing them to live and thrive with sight loss.
