If you're like most people you are starting of the year with a list of dreams and goals you would like to achieve. 

 

I want to help you realize those dreams!

  • The man who lost 200 pounds after being housebound for a decade.
  • The mother who worked tirelessly bringing her sick child to radiant health.
  • The grandfather who quit cigarettes to realize his dream of running a marathon.
  • The woman who completely reversed her Type II diabetes by committing to a healthy diet.

Every day people just like you go out into the world and make their dreams come true! 

 

They did it.  Why not you?  You're no different than any of these successful individuals.

Why Couldn't Your Dreams Come True, Too?

True, it sounds hard. In fact, it probably is hard, with a number of obstacles to overcome. That may be reason enough to put your dream on permanent hold.

Your dreams and goals are only going to be as hard you imagine them to be, especially if you are only looking at the end result and not the steps to get you there.  If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

 


A Plan Can Guarantee Success!
  • Think about the dream/goal you want to achieve, be specific.  If you want to lose weight ask yourself why; is it so you can be healthy for your children and set a good example, save money by cooking your meals at home or maybe cure your Type II diabetes? Pinpointing the 'WHY' of your dream is the first step.
  • It's easy to say "I want to lose 30 lbs" but adding the 'WHY' to this statement has much more impact and a greater chance of success.
  • Identify what scares you the most about what it will take to achieve your dream.  Is it hard work, possible sacrifice and denial or is it stepping out of what you find to be comfortable
  • Write down the worst thing that could happen, your worst case scenario, when you pursue your dream. Now write down what you will do to confront this fear.
  • What will your life look like once you have achieved your dream?  Close your eyes and imagine a day in the life of the you you want to be. 
  • Create a vision board of this life you are imagining.
  • Tell others about your dreams and why you want to achieve them.  This will provide you with support and accountability.  Beware of naysayers; only look to those that are supportive.
  • Set a date you want to achieve this dream, be realistic.  Allow for bumps in the road because they will happen.
  • Create a task list, all the steps you must take to make your dreams come true.  Check off each task as you complete it.  There is power in the accomplishment of checking these off your list.
  • Achieve your dreams in small steps, conquering one thing at time makes it manageable and less overwhelming.  Each small step will build on the previous one until ultimately you have reached your dream.
  • Make a commitment to yourself because you are worth it!  You deserve to achieve your dreams, whatever they may be.  Treat yourself with love, kindness and understanding.
