Year-End Giving
Your Year-End Giving Push

As the end of the year approaches, call upon your company's holiday spirit, and invite staff who haven't given to make a donation before the end of the year. Remind prospective donors that a gift to United Way is a gift to the entire community of Racine County.

If you start early, you can turn your year-end giving push into a mini campaign of its own. Here are some ideas:

  • If you haven't already, schedule a #GivingTuesday ask for Nov. 29 to reach people planning on celebrating the day with charitable contributions.
  • Extend your #GivingTuesday ask through the end of the year by repurposing any messaging or collateral.
  • Work smarter, not harder. Share and forward United Way's campaign emails and posts so you don't have to recreate your own.
  • Encourage staff to do their holiday shopping on Amazon Smile. Select United Way as your charity, and Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase to us.
  • Remind your staff about United Way of Racine County's centennial sweepstakes.
Centennial Sweepstakes
Qualifying individuals who give a new gift of $100 or more or increase their 2021 gift by 10 percent will be automatically entered for one chance to win $10,000! Gifts must be an undesignated donation to United Way of Racine County’s 2022 campaign.

No donation necessary. Void where prohibited. Donation will not improve chances of winning. The sweepstakes ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time on December 31, 2022. Sponsored by United Way of Racine County, 2000 Domanik Drive, Racine, WI 53404 with the $10,000 prize donated by the Andis Foundation.
Tip and Tricks

Need some smart and fast ways to finish your campaign out?

  • If a financial gift isn't in the cards for some of your teammates, invite them to consider our volunteer opportunities for another way to participate in sustaining our community. We're also happy to coordinate a volunteer opportunity specifically to your team — just reach out to your United Way contact person.
  • Volunteers are twice as likely to give as non-volunteers, so reach out to any regular volunteers among your staff to find out if they'd like to expand their support for United Way.
  • Remind your teammates that following us on social media (links in the footer) and liking and sharing our posts is another effective way to support us. Word of mouth is the most effective way for us to reach new people, and we need the entire community's support to create community-wide change.

Thank you, as always, for the work you do to help us reach as much of the Racine County community as possible! Your work is so important to United Way and our 40+ partner organization, and you're creating impact that benefits the entire community.
