A Letter from Herb
Winterizing Your Car is a Smart Move
At Herb Chambers, we all know New England weather has a mind of its own. Rain, flurries, heavy snow and ice can come at any time.

Driving in inclement weather can be harrowing, especially in these conditions.

Here are some best practices and helpful tips to prepare your car for the winter months - no matter what Mother Nature sends our way.
2020 Honda Civic
By KBB.com
Buyers of brand-new compact cars are lucky. They have the 2020 Honda Civic as just one of several fantastic choices. There are some factors, though, that nudge the Civic a tad above other compact cars.

One thing is resale values, where the Civic excels. Rock-solid reliability is another. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also makes it a Top Safety Pick. It all adds up to an impressive package that has won KBB.com’s Small Car Best Buy award for five consecutive years.

The 2020 Civic comes in sedan, hatchback and coupe form. Models span from a sensible LX to a blazing 306-horsepower Type R, with a mildly sporty Si in between.

Headlight Savings Time: Switch today, see better tonight
Daylight saving time is coming to an end, but Headlight Savings Time is just starting.

Headlight Savings Time is an annual campaign that reminds drivers that headlights, just like brakes, tires, and other automotive systems, wear down before they burn out.

Dimming headlight bulbs may present roadway dangers and so it is important that we all be proactive with headlight bulb maintenance.

Herb Chambers is also proud to help support these organizations.
2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC
By KBB.com
With fresh styling and a new engine, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class hopes to fend off assaults from newer small-luxury-crossover SUVs. With the C-Class sedan platform as its starting point, the GLC-Class has a bit more refinement than some competitors, and its luxury offerings are second to none.

The ride is firm, but not jarring, and the handling more than satisfactory for most buyers in the segment. Offered as a rear-drive (GLC 300), all-wheel drive (GLC 300 4Matic) and plug-in hybrid (GLC 350e), the GLC-Class gives buyers a wide range of models and features from which to choose.

One of the great pleasures in piloting the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 is just how well it gets along with its driver. Thanks to tight turning circles and responsive steering, the GLC-Class is as easy to weave in and out of traffic as it is to park in a tight spot. The new 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine pumps out an additional 14 horsepower for a total of 255. The engine feels more refined than the old powerplant, and it gets better fuel economy, too.
