She played many parts
Beloved Parish Players co-founder Gillian Tyler of Thetford passed away earlier this year at age 88. Tyler, who directed and performed in countless shows, said, "I never thought [the Players] would endure with such enthusiasm," in this 2017 50th anniversary video. View more Parish Players oral histories here and PP's Ten Minute Play Festival recordings here.
Parish Players is a JAM organizational member.

The world is watching
JAM's coverage of the May 2 campus walkout is currently JAM's most-watched YouTube video to date in 2024 (9.4k views). Professors and students gathered on the Green to condemn the arrests at the May 1 Gaza War protest. "Our brave strong students stood together," said Abigail Neely, Associate Professor of Geography. "This rally was nothing if not peaceful." Asst. History Prof. Golnar Nikpour told listeners. "Hands off our students."

Sensational skies in Hartland
Where can you find antique tractors, muscle cars, a parade, barefoot dancing, rock 'n' roll, and rockets' red glare all in one place? Hartland, VT celebrated America's 248th Independence Day in style, and JAM was there for the fun. (Ear plugs not included!)

This year's most-watched public meeting to date: Hartford School Board's Feb. 14 meeting to debate whether the district should pay six-figure salaries for two superintendents. The teachers union, administrators, and parents submitted a letter objecting and criticizing the lack of transparency in the search process for a new superintendent. "We weren't quite as professional as we could have been," said school board member Nancy Russell.
Tune into government and school meetings LIVE on JAM cable channels 1075/1085 (Comcast) or 169/170 VTEL, streaming on our website, or JAM's YouTube channel, or find recordings by searching JAM On-Demand for your town's meeting recordings.
