It's February—Heart Month—and we're recognizing wish kids, like Talitha, who live with heart conditions. Sweet and a little shy, Talitha loves dolls and princesses. She’s also living with a progressive heart condition. "It takes a lot of your mind space up as a parent," says Talitha's mom, Nicole. "The care is 24/7." Looking forward to meeting her favourite princess, Talitha and her family visited Walt Disney World® Resort.

“Our trip was perfect and we enjoyed every moment,” said Nicole. And while their trip doesn’t change the fact that Talitha’s condition isn’t going away, the little girl's strength and resiliency inspires her whole family. “Talitha knows she has a disease but she doesn’t know what the future holds. She continues to be positive, and the wish trip just made her light shine that much brighter.”

“It was truly magical for Talitha and made my heart sing!”

Join us for the 2nd Annual
Dish, Score, Wish ball hockey tournament! Hosted by our YPAC (Young Professional Advisory Council) the tournament will be a jam-packed day full of ball hockey games, a yard games tournament, a silent auction, prize giveaways, and a 50/50 raffle.

Location: CFB Edmonton ( 185 Highway 28A, Lancaster Park)
You can create a Make-A-Wish fundraiser too!
Donor events—like YPAC's Dish, Score, Wish —are an incredible way for supporters to raise money for Make-A-Wish. You choose the event and organize it: a book sale, silent auction, jewelry party, fun run... the options are endless. We'll promote your event and support you along the way. When you're done, donate the proceeds to Make-A-Wish and know you helped make a difference in the life of a local child living with a critical illness.
