To all of our supporters and friends, I hope that this communication finds you well and healthy.
These are unprecedented times for the world as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, and yet, it has united us in so many ways. We at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) are grateful for the warm and generous support received from many of you. From donated lunches for our COVID-19 Teams to public thank you messages--please know that these gestures are a wonderful boost providing energy for the team to continue the fight. I am proud to acknowledge Eat Clean, Domino’s Pizza, the Miami Heat, Nova Southeastern University, Simply Healthcare, VITAS and in the Florida Keys, special thanks to Mayor Mike Forster, Mangrove Mike’s Cafe, Sweet Savannah’s, Brutus Seafood, and the Bielik Family for their support.

As you may know, CHI was the first to service the community with drive-thru testing and thus received local and national media attention. CHI has made an important impact in South Florida’s mitigation efforts, and we continue to adjust services and testing sites to better serve patients.
For nearly half a century, CHI has provided communities with access to quality healthcare. We began as a small community health center operating out of two double wide trailers with the mission of caring for low-income neighbors with little or no access to quality healthcare. Today, we provide care to everyone—both insured and uninsured—and have grown to operate 11 state-of-the-art primary care centers and 35 school-based programs in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Our physicians, nurses, medical teams, staff, leadership, and organization as a whole remains as committed as ever to our community, and you, our friends and supporters, play a role in our successes and future growth necessary to meet the needs of our growing community.
In this e-newsletter, you will learn of the wonderful support received at CHI and how you can join us so that together we may continue to serve our community. We are grateful to the people of South Florida who have stood by us all these years and who continue to believe in the mission of CHI.
As always we welcome your comments and suggestions and you can email us at CHIFoundation@chisouthfl.org.
Sincerely,
Brodes H. Hartley, Jr.

Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) and its fundraising arm
Community Health Foundation
is extremely grateful to
Sullivan
for once again providing generous financial support helping CHI provide high-quality healthcare to thousands of patients in South Florida.
The
Children’s Crisis Center
will be the first comprehensive center of its kind in southern Miami-Dade. The 11,400 square foot facility will provide a haven for children suffering from mental illness. This in-patient, 24-hour, 20-bed facility will house a team of board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, mental health clinicians, social workers, and counselors. The medical team will provide full service comprehensive mental health care for children up to 17 years of age, regardless of their ability to pay.
“Sullivan is extremely proud to support the
Children’s Crisis Center
, as it will play an important role in improving the lives of children in need of critical behavioral health services. Helping the underserved youth so that they too have the best possible outcomes for growth and prosperity is at the core of our personal and corporate mission and we are dedicated to help in any way we can”, said Joe Sullivan, Founder and President.
Sullivan was founded in 2001 by Joe Sullivan to provide the best, most personalized and caring benefits support possible for mid-sized companies. It is a regional employee benefits consulting firm, specializing in the underwriting and implementation of mid-sized to large group benefit plans for healthcare, vision, and other programs.
“CHI is very proud to have the Sullivan team as partners uniting with us to provide the very best to our patients through their philanthropy and to our staff via their professional services,” said Brodes H. Hartley, Jr., President and CEO of CHI. “It is my hope that more in our corporate community will follow Sullivan’s lead.”
