Tell us what inspires and drives you in your work or business?
Changing the lives of youth through Aviation is what gets me and our leadership team up in the morning. Creating opportunities for young people to find their passion is very rewarding for us at Crosswinds Aviation. We are inspired by all the youth working hard to make their dream careers come true. We are committed to creating opportunities for our students by strengthening our community partnerships that allow us to continue to grow and offer ongoing job opportunities for youth in aviation.
What do you love about conducting business in Livingston County?
Community collaboration and all the partnerships with local businesses and the school districts inspires us to keep working together. All these partnerships create and maintain a strong community. I am in awe of the commitment of the leaders in our community in their passion and ambition to create an amazing community for us to live, work and play in.
What do you love about being a Chamber member?
All the amazing connections and people we meet that are chamber members! I am inspired by their passion for their work, community and openness to help one another thrive.
Can you share a recent success story?
Over the last 13 years we have, through our high school programming and flight school we have sent over 200 employees to the regional airlines or charter operations in Michigan and throughout the country.
Share exciting plans or initiatives for 2024?
We have expanded our High School programs to Oakland County and Detroit Catholic Central. We continue to be committed to our local community and have 2 full sessions of our LESA Aviation Ground School class in Livingston County. We offer the EMU Aviation Flight Technology degree program to commuter students to EMU and allow them to flight train at our Howell – Livingston County Location, at our Willow Run Airport location or our Pontiac- Oakland County International Airport location.
