Sign up TODAY for Pedal Poll 2026
Pedal Poll/Sondo Vélo is an annual community-science project engaging hundreds of volunteers across Canada as they count road and path users to evaluate the state of cycling in our communities, get a “snapshot” of what cycling looks like in communities across Canada, and build the case for more and better infrastructure. While they continue to track vital data for people on bikes, they are expanding our scope to measure the surge in e-bikes, e-scooters, and shared mobility transforming Canadian streets. The 2026 poll is taking place over 5 days between June 2 and 7, and registration is now open to pick your spot! Learn more and sign up at https://velocanadabikes.org/pedalpoll/.

Mississauga earns recognition as a bicycle-friendly community
The City of Mississauga has been recognized as a Silver Bicycle Friendly Community by the Share the Road Cycling Coalition! This award recognizes Canadian municipalities that are making significant efforts to build a culture of cycling. This is the first time Mississauga has achieved the Silver designation, previously holding a bronze designation since 2012. This achievement comes as cycling continues to grow as a popular hobby, fitness activity and mode of transportation for residents to get around Mississauga. Residents continued advocacy, ideas and use of the network can get us even higher!

Share what you see!
Are the roads clear but the trails are snowy? Maybe the paths are plowed, but there's too much salt at the bus stops and intersections! How about the bike parking, is it available, is it good, is it clear?
Let the City know what you see!
Report your concerns, compliments and ideas by using 311 and other feedback forms on the City website. It is good to contact your local Councillor for larger concerns, too! Share pictures and videos when you can and tag us if posting on Instagram with #BikeMississauga or #FrostBike and we might highlight you!
