HAYSTACK BOOK TALKS
new by Courtney Maum

As part of the 2019 Haystack Book Talks festival , scheduled for October 4 - 6, 2019, Norfolk's own Courtney Maum will discuss her new book in conversation with Teddy Wayne, the author of The Love Song of Johnny Valentine .

A Few words from Courtney on her new book: I have a new novel coming out this summer called  COSTALEGRE  about a daughter yearning for her famous mother’s attention while in exile with a gaggle of surrealists in the Mexican jungle during World War II. This novel is a big first for me: my first book of historical fiction; my first book from a teenager’s point of view; and my first book with an independent publisher: the wonderful Portland, Oregon-based  Tin House , in this case.
