You are not "just a cheer coach"

You are a mentor, a teacher, and a leader.

A great coach will teach their athletes discipline, life lessons, respect for their peers and themselves. You teach the importance of being part of a team, that life is full of choices and that we all have to be held accountable for our actions. You teach about compassion, pride, and confidence, how to be happy for others when they shine, and how to be humble with their own success.

As an AYC coach you're going to have a major impact on your athletes lives on and off the mat, it's important that you do everything you can to make their experience with AYC a positive one.

Be the coach that teaches your athletes to get up and try harder the next day, but never say "I am just a cheer coach"

When did you begin volunteering?
In youth football Since 2001 for AYF since 2005. 

Why do you volunteer?
It's a way for me to give back and build relationships along with hoping to make a little difference in people.

What keeps you volunteering year after year?
The people I've met and the relationships I've made through the years because of AYF. 

Was there anyone in particular that got you involved?
Not really just my son when he was of age to play youth football.

Tell us about your region!
The Atlantic Region consist of teams from Delaware all the way down to South Carolina. We have the best group of leaders that it makes my job very easy. 

Accomplishments:   2018 AYF President's Cup for Region of the Year

Goals for 2019:   To continue to make the Atlantic the Best region in AYF!
