HUDDLE UP GEORGIA

July 2025

Our WIN is to pursue the mission by executing the strategy.

Hey Team,

As we are full swing into camp season, we wanted to take a pause and reflect on Engaging, Equipping, and Empowering our coaches and athletes. During our Spring Directors Summit all Directors were involved in collaborating on questions staff have and action steps we could take as a region to embed FCA’s E3 strategy into every Advancement lane (Ministry, Talent, Sport, Board & Donor, and International). After many discussions we came up with these guiding questions:

1. Do we as a team see discipleship multiplication as a result of executing the strategy in our area of ministry?

2. Are we inviting volunteers into the ministry to disciple through life-on-life opportunities with coaches and athletes?

3. How do we know we are winning?

Over the next few months Huddle Up Georgia will be dedicated to what we're calling our region-wide FY26 E3 Focus. Each month you will see:

  • A video or testimonial of multiplication and/or transformation to express the heart and celebrate WINS in the ministry,
  • Answers, resources, and tools addressing the questions your Directors asked at the Directors Summit, and
  • Content directed specifically to your day-to-day execution of our strategy to reach EVERY coach and athlete.

Huddle Up Schedule:

July - Ministry Advancement

August - Board & Donor Advancement

September - Talent Advancement

October - International Advancement

November - Sport Pillar

Come along with us as we “HUDDLE UP” and pray together for the faithfulness and glory of God to shine through our team.

Blessings,

Jessi Fincher

FY26 Regional Ministry Advancement Goal

for Directors, Area Representatives and Ambassadors

I will have quarterly E3 check-in conversations with my supervisor using the E3 Check-in Guide by November 30, February 28, May 31 and August 30.

How do I use the E3 Map effectively?

  1. Page 12 in the E3 Playbook introduces you to the E3 Map and page 34 shares an example.
  2. Gather as a team, pray over those far from Jesus, write their names down, be intentional about sharing the gospel with them. Meet back together as a team to pray, share, and celebrate!
  3. Keep your map where you can see it.
  4. Review the new E3 tools page (bottom of Training tab) as a team to see how the E3 Map is explained as well as the other tool videos that can help support moving someone from engagement with the Gospel to equipping them in the Word.
  5. Names should move off your map and new names come on when lives are transformed by Jesus and He saves them! That person moves to Equip and you add a new name into your map that you now get to share the Gospel with!

How do I Model, Assist, Watch, Launch (M.A.W.L.) with mobilized volunteers, coaches, athletes, staff I supervise, financial partners and board members?

  1. Revisit the Mobilized Volunteer Quick Start Guide as a team.
  2. M.A.W.L. ideas:
  • Model how to lead DBS and a huddle for all of your volunteers/staff/athlete leaders.
  • Lead your volunteers (or staff) through the new Huddle Training Workshop.
  • Evaluate: How often do I visit huddles to watch, encourage, and give feedback to those who are leading huddles?

3. Potential Ministry Game Plan goals:

  • I will bring a coach/athlete or volunteer with me to a huddle once per week to model E3 discipleship for them.
  • I will challenge two coaches or athletes per month to begin the E3 process with their E3 map or to lead an existing huddle.
  • I will invite a staff person I supervise to ______ (model or assist) leading a huddle alongside me.
  • I will pair seasoned Mobilized Volunteers with new potential volunteers so that they can experience Modeling, Assisting, Watching in person every month.

How do we ensure every event we host is grounded in E3 and how do we take next steps in post-event execution?

  1. The best way to ensure every event is grounded in E3 is to review the event through the E3 Discipleship Filter found on page 40 in the E3 Playbook.
  2. We also have a resource called the E3 Filter Application that emphasizes whether the event is centered on discipleship for sustainability and if it is reproducible.
  3. As a team, meet with your supervisor to review all events before your Ministry Game Plan year to assess the event through the E3 Filter and evaluate your post-event plan to ensure attendees have access to discipleship opportunities or volunteer opportunities to serve alongside FCA ministry.
  4. Have healthy post-event reflection and evaluation to see if there needs to be changes to the event to better pursue the mission by executing the strategy.

Do I know how and when to use each unique FCA resource and/or tool (DBS sets, E3 Map, Discipleship Filter, The CORE, 360 Coaching, Theme Handbooks, FCA Resources App, etc.)?

  1. Connect with Jessi Fincher, RDMA, about what resources are available and how to use them effectively.
  2. Connect with other staff members who are effectively using these tools and resources and go with them to see modeling in action.
  3. Complete all trainings around our discipleship strategy and tools.
  4. Learn by doing! We have to sit in awkward situations at times, but we all know doing can be the best teacher. Maybe a personal goal this year is to try a new resource twice a month to see how it could impact your ministry!
