Opening Session by Rev. Regina Hall on Finding our Peace
Our girls learned to spread kindness to our first responders in the Mont Eagle Area by baking cookies and writing thank you notes to them. Mackenzie and Mom Donna were able to deliver the treats & cards to the local Fire Department.
The girls painted the picnic tables at the large pavilion at the camp as part of a beautification project.
Our girls learned about our updated Bars and Badges and begin making plans on how they earn their bars in their Assemblies.
In the afternoon, the girls found the courage to try something new and learned how to sew their own brag rags. Our girls picked out their own fabric, learned to make a pattern by designing their own ribbon and then sewed the final product on the machines. Their new brag rags will be able to be worn at any meeting and will hold all of their bars and pins that they earn in their Rainbow career.
Crafting is always a camp favorite and this year was no different! The girls tie dyed bandannas and socks and then made their own dream catchers.
What's Coming Up?
