Once the library opens back up full time, they will be open from Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm. and will open with all services including browsing the stacks, using a computer, making copies, sending faxes, and notary service with the following guidelines.
The maximum number of patrons in the library at any given time is 25, per Hueytown Fire Department guidelines. Social distancing guidelines of 6 ft apart should be observed at all times.
Patrons must wear a face covering while inside the library. Face masks are available to purchase at the front entrance for $2 for those who do not have one.
Patrons are limited to one hour in the library per day regardless of their reason for visiting.
The library has been taking computer appointments since July. Computers are now available without an appointment, but patrons must sign in at the desk to be assigned a computer. Computer terminals are disinfected after each use. Staff members are limited in their ability to assist patrons on the computers due to social distancing guidelines, so please bring someone with you to assist whenever possible.
Returned materials must still be quarantined for 72 hours, and all fines will be waived. Patrons are to place items in the designated return bins. Items may not be handed to a staff member directly. Please note that items may not reflect returned until they are processed after the quarantine.
Curbside delivery has been available since June and will continue to be available for our patrons who prefer to not come inside. Patrons may call, message, or email us to have items pulled. They can call us at (205) 491-1443 when they arrive at the library to have their materials placed outside for them to pick up.
The public restrooms are out of service at this time.
