Dear Huguenot Academy Families and Students:
We are writing to update you on the progress on moving Huguenot Academy to Monroe College.
The final documents for Huguenot Academy were provided on schedule last Thursday, December 16 to Monroe College and its contractors. They are reviewing the documents in order to provide cost proposals to the college for the work that needs to be done. The documents were also provided to the City of New Rochelle for review.
Plans are also being prepared for submission to the New York State Education Department for their review; the school district cannot secure approval from the New York State Education Department until the work is completed and a copy of the corrected local Certificate of Occupancy is provided from the City of New Rochelle to the state.
Sessions at New Rochelle Public Library were cancelled this week and students are attending all classes virtually. Progress reports were completed over the weekend and families should expect to see them via the Home Access Center on the Huguenot Academy website by the end of the week, or via post during the break.
We want to remind you that we recently developed a list of frequently asked questions about Huguenot Academy that is posted on our website, and we encourage you to read the FAQ here.
Thank you all for your ongoing support. We wish you and your families a happy and healthy holiday season, and look forward to continuing our work together in the new year!
Sincerely,
Dr. Dagoberto Artiles
