Dear Huguenot Academy Families and Community:
We hope you are enjoying your weekend. As we do weekly, here is an update of this week’s Huguenot Academy activities.
- Our seniors geared up to create their very own memory books. In the coming weeks, they will write chapters about their lives and include pictures from their childhood. They will keep their books with the ability to continue adding to them in the future.
- Juniors are continuing to build their skills of identifying literary elements, and their effect on written pieces. They continue to work on identifying relevant textual evidence to support their claims.
- In the Contemporary American Society course, students are learning and applying fact-checking strategies for analyzing news and social media. They are also learning to identify the elements of a news story.
- In United States History, our students are learning about industrialization, urbanization, immigration, and how these events changed American society. Students are also practicing strategies for responding to stimulus-based questions in preparation for the Regents exam.
As a reminder, please visit our website for updates and more information at nred.org, and we encourage you to read these FAQs here.
We thank you for your continued partnership. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dagoberto Artiles
