Lecture on Friday, October 30

As a reminder, the GI1 lecture will be presented in the University Club First Floor Ballroom at 3:25 PM on Friday, October 30. The lecture should take about an hour, and we should be done by 4:30 PM.

The final PBL (on acid-base disorders) will take place next Friday (November 6).

Exam 3 is scheduled for Friday, November 13.
Would You Like to Serve as a UTA Next Fall?

Self-nominations are open for students who would like to be a UTA next Fall, to assist with PBLs. The class will presumably be scheduled on similar days and times as this year.

If you would like to serve as a UTA, please complete the form linked below. UTAs are selected based on class performance.
Adjustments in Exam 2 Scores

Two typos were discovered in the answers to bubble-in questions on Exam 2. As a result, I added two points to all scores. This will be reflected on the cumulative gradesheet you receive after Exam 3.
REMINDER: Final Exam

The Final Exam Schedule for the Fall term has been posted by the Registrar's Office.

Final exams for most classes will be held remotely during the week of November 30.

The exam schedule stipulates that for night classes, the exam normally occurs during Exam week, on the day and time corresponding to the last class (Friday for our course).

However, our class is complicated, as it is a night class on M,W and has a day schedule on F. I consulted the Registrar's office, and they advised me to base the final exam on the Friday session.

In accordance with the University's exam schedule, this places the Final at: 10:00 — 11:50 AM on Monday, November 30.

Based on the Registrar's schedule, it also is appropriate to offer the exam on Friday, December 4 at 3:25 PM, as this corresponds to normal class time on Friday (which is typical for evening classes).

Thus, I will give you a choice of times for taking the Final:

  • Monday, November 30 from 10:00 AM — 11:50 AM
  • Friday, December 4 from 3:25 PM — 5:15 PM
