A recap of our 1st Quarter...

Human Trafficking Awareness Month

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and we had the privilege of being involved in many events. Check them out below!

Introducing our new Administrative Assistant

Heather McGannon joined our team in early January as The Gate Way's Administrative Assistant. She will help behind the scenes with the day-to-day running of the Gate Way.

Heather lives just outside of Grand Rapids with her family. She has been involved in the Anti-Trafficking movement for about 10 years. You may recognize her as she also works part-time for the Michigan Abolitionist Project as their Program Coordinator. She is passionate about Advocacy and using her strengths to support Anti-Trafficking work in Michigan.

Heather is excited to be a part of the Gate Way and help assist the organization. "I see the work being done here as vital to Supporting Survivors and preventing further exploitation. I am humbled to be a part of this organization and look forward to what the future holds for the Gate Way!"

Feel free to reach out to Heather with any questions, or just to say "Hi!" Her email is: heather@theopengateway.org
