Low Power FPGA SoM for Humanitarian Applications
In times of crisis, biometrics can help establish digital identity and reconnect families. The MitySOM-C10L is a production-suitable System-on-Module (SoM) based upon the Intel® Cyclone® 10 Low Power (LP) FPGA that is user-configurable for a vast array of humanitarian applications such as biometric ID systems that are compact and easy to deploy in the field. Smaller than a business card at 70mm x 30mm (2.75” x 1.2”) the SODIMM form-factor features the Cyclone® 10 LP FPGA available with Logic Elements (LE) ranging from 16KLE to 80KLE, up to 2.7Mbits of embedded memory and up to 244 DSP blocks. NIOS-II, RISC-V soft processors, and numerous IP cores are available to facilitate implementing designs for complex applications.

The MitySOM-C10L SoM has up to 32MB of QSPI flash memory which is used for FPGA configuration and is usable by the processor core to store non-volatile data. The FPGA logic/soft processor core also has access to 2KB of EEPROM and up to 32MB of HyperRAM. The onboard power supplies require a single +5V input and provide the proper FPGA voltages and power sequencing. 180 FPGA I/O signals are routed to the SoM’s edge connector in 3 groups; each group has a reference input on the edge connector for the user to set a different I/O interface standard.

Free lifetime access to Critical Link’s technical support site as well as access to application engineering resources and other services are available to accelerate product time-to-market.
Features:
  • Space-saving 2.75” x 1.2” board with a DDR4 SODIMM-style 260-pin card edge connector
  • Intel® Cyclone® 10 LP FPGA with up to 80KLE
  • Up to 32MB of HyperRAM, up to 32MB of QSPI flash memory and 2KB of EEPROM
  • Up to 180 direct-connect FPGA IOs in 3 user configurable I/O standard groups
  • On-board power supplies with power sequencing requiring only a single +5V input
  • NIOS-II and RISC-V soft processor IP cores
  • Production-ready, designed for long term performance and availability
Target
Applications:
  • Biometrics
  • Drones and UAVs
  • Embedded and Industrial Instrumentation
  • Test and Measurement
  • Motion Control
