The 123rd annual Humboldt County Fair is just about one week away! As a kid I loved going to the fair as it was a unique Humboldt experience that you really couldn't get anywhere else. There were a few years in my teens where I did not attend, but once I was of age, I started to enjoy a few beer stained afternoons at the race track. Now that my kids are old enough to know whats going on around them, I am starting to enjoy the fair through their perspective. Which is great for me because I get to eat all the left over funnel cake I can stand, followed by a ride down that giant multi-colored potato sack slide.
