Given the amount of COVID-19 media coverage that has already dominating our airwaves, I think it would be best for me to focus on our local real estate market in this weeks newsletter. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been asked how the market is in the last two weeks, and whats my answer? I have no idea! In all honesty, I would be able to give you an accurate opinion in about a month from now, and there's a few reasons for that. One reason is that two weeks ago our county was put under a shelter in place order which stopped just about all real estate in it's tracks. Then five days ago, real estate was deemed an essential business, which then helped to resuscitate our local market which saw the return of some new listings this week. If properties aren't receiving competitive offers over the next few weeks then sellers could lower their prices which could lead to a decline in the market. However, when the shelter in place is lifted, the market could return to it's original mark and not skip a beat. As you can tell there is just to many unknown factors at this point so stay tuned to find out more!
