The League’s Legislative Action Day welcomed representatives from Gov. Gavin Newsom's office and Sen. Scott Wiener to brief a record breaking number of city officials on issues facing California's cities this legislative session.
Apply by May 10 to be a volunteer judge for the 2019 Helen Putnam Award for Excellence program and help score the applications to determine who the winning cities are for each of the 11 categories.

Opportunities for Cities

The League’s co-sponsorship of the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA) continues to be one of the most significant benefits for League members. CSCDA announced the issuance of $16.7 million in tax-exempt multi-family affordable housing bonds for Aqua Apartments in Santa Ana.
