Living Christ in This World
THE BANNER: The Hunger Ministry Sandwich Making volunteers will meet this Saturday, August 18 in the Taylor Room at 10 AM.
It’s common for churches to see what’s been thoughtfully (or painfully) coined “the summer giving slump,” when giving declines between the months of May and August. Many churches like CSMSG see a 20% or more decrease in giving during these months due to members being on vacation, going to BBQs, traveling with family, etc. You can help CSMSG avoid the slump in two ways:
  * Pay your pledge in full now, instead of at the end of the year;
  * Send in those pledge payments you will miss while you are away this summer.
You may give online at anytime from anywhere. Go to our website, click on Stewardship, then click on Give Now . In spite of the slump, God is at work at CSMSG this summer! We are gearing up for what is sure to be a spectacular fall. Thank you for your support.
Did you know that the Choir provides children ages eight years and older with the opportunity to play an important role in keeping music alive in the Anglican tradition? Children in the Choir enjoy learning musical skills, vocal skills, and the Christian aspects of the music. Interested? Contact Nick Bideler at .

By now, you've heard the devastating news about Jan Torrisi-Mokwa. Jan was invaluable in enhancing the Women's Ministry at The Church of St. Michael & St. George as well as founding the ECW Steering Council by lovingly guiding the group through a process that brought our value and mission statements to fruition. One of the ways that her memory will be honored is by establishing a fund to support the Women's Retreats that Jan so dearly loved. The money will be used to pay for retreat leaders as well as provide scholarships for attendees. If you would like to contribute, please make your check payable to CSMSG and note the JTM Women's Ministry Fund in the memo portion. Please contact Laurie Brown at if you have any questions.
We are seeking donations of gently-used items that can be included in our “white elephant” sale and silent auction.
Some popular items: toys, jewelry, scarves, aprons, handbags, Christmas ornaments, kitchen items, and wall decorations.
Please place all items in the CSL-ECW closet located across from the water fountain and the Sant Library.
Tax receipts are available from Judy Sutherland. We appreciate all donations and the recipients of the proceeds from the sale are also grateful. All monies earned are donated to Church Ministries or charities.
If you have questions, please contact Jane Cox at 636.579.9436 or Aleda Littlefield at 314.872.9010.
