COVID-19 situation update
for yesterday reports 16,372 positive COVID-19 cases, an increase of 2,132 cases from my report on Friday. Currently, 488 cases require hospitalization (a decrease of 10 from Friday) and of those cases, 229 people are in the ICU (an increase of 29 from Friday). A total of 730 Minnesotans have passed away from the COVID-19 virus, which includes 48 Minnesotans died since Friday from the virus. Of that number, nine people died yesterday which was the smallest daily increase in COVID-19 deaths in Minnesota since May 4
th
. Additionally, total case doubling has increased to 12 days which is a metric the Department of Health is watching, the length of case doubling has been increasing over the past several days.
Today the Governor is expected to address restaurant re-openings so tune in at 2:00!
Local Monies May be Available
Also there may be $200,000 in funding available from Wright County that Wright County businesses can borrow if in need during this time. $5,000, zero percent interest, 6 month deferral, two year term. More to come! Good news for more small businesses!
They are also considering having grant options, if there are businesses out there doing really well that would like to help other businesses in the County.
