March 14, 2020
Dear Hunt County 4-H members, volunteers and supporters:

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to pose significant challenges and is likely to remain a concern for the next several weeks. We have officially received word from the Director’s Office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension as follows:

The following actions are being taken regarding educational programs and face to face meetings:
  • March 16-20 all AgriLife face to face events, programs and meetings will be cancelled. We will reevaluate this policy on March 19, 2020.

The Hunt County Extension Office will plan out for each event from March 21-May 31 individually, deciding with current information whether to hold those events as planned or determine steps needed to reschedule.

As of now, please we are only cancelling all face to face 4-H planned activities and programs including project group meetings and practices as well as club meetings that are scheduled through March 20.

The Hunt County Extension Office will send updates we receive directives. At this time the Extension Office will remain open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. If we are notified of changes to this, I will pass that along as well.

Obviously there are a lot of events and contests scheduled in the next few weeks. We will notify you of any postponements or cancellations as soon as we have information.

I am happy to try to answer any questions you may have, and will be updating you as information becomes available to me.

Sincerely,
Sara Allen
