Hunterdon COVID-19 Cases On The Rise Health Department Advises Residents To Abide By Governor’s
‘Stay Home’ Directive
Hunterdon County’s Department of Health is advising all residents to stay home, if at all possible, whether sick or not, to control the community spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Health Officer Karen DeMarco has reported, “There are now over sixty confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Hunterdon County and the number is growing. Close contacts of each of these cases are under self-quarantine and monitoring for symptoms of the virus.”

The Health Department warns that those with mild symptoms of the virus may not know they have it and can unwittingly spread it to others. The virus can lead to very serious complications, such as pneumonia, which can be fatal.

Warning: there are phony IRS calls asking you for your bank account number to deposit your Federal Direct Payments. Don't fall for it. No federal agency will contact you for information, you do not have to do anything to get your stimulus benefit. It will be sent direct to you.

Playgrounds are closed. No organized activities are permitted on ball and soccer fields. All park buildings and facilities are closed.

The Hunterdon County Board of Elections is requesting that all forms be sent through USPS for mail delivery.

The Board of Elections Office will continue to operate to answer public phone calls and process mail.
