9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Monday, September 11th at 8:30am, on the Historic Court House steps in Flemington. The public is invited to join with First Responders from the community in a solemn Remembrance Ceremony.
Hunterdon County Stigma Free Campaign Champions Dignity and Respect
The Hunterdon County Mental Health Board’s Stigma Free Task Force is engaged in a Stigma Free Zone educational campaign with businesses throughout the County, to raise community awareness and acceptance of the challenges faced by individuals dealing with mental health issues.

The Stigma-Free campaign is a national effort that promotes acceptance and confronts stereotypes, so that those who struggle with mental health challenges will seek help and not suffer in silence. The campaign recognizes there is no shame in identifying the illness and asking for help and that people can and do recover and go to live successful lives.    Read more...
Hunterdon County's 45th Summer Park's Season
A Great Success
The 45th year was a banner one for summer recreation programs in the Hunterdon County Parks, as over 570 County children participated in the day camp program and people of all ages enjoyed a successful Music Under The Stars concert series at Deer Path Park.

Freeholder Director, John E. Lanza said, “The County is very proud of our summer parks programming. Summer is a time to relax and unwind, to enjoy activities outdoors and really make the most of what Hunterdon County has to offer. Creativity and activity are supported and nurtured through these different opportunities, nature is enjoyed, and there is a great opportunity to be able to connect to one another. Hunterdon Gains Over $865,000 In State and
Federal Grants
Funds Assist With State Mandated Costs
The Hunterdon County Freeholder Board took action Tuesday evening to receive and accept over $865,000 in the next wave of successfully obtained state and federal grant funds for 2017, due to the County for various services, including those mandated by the state.
Freeholder Director John Lanza stated, “These grant funds help the County to deliver services, often mandated by the state, and reduce the amount that must be borne through property taxes. Congratulations are due all round to the Finance Director and all the Departments for successfully navigating what is the maze of the state and federal grant process.” Read more...
