Hawk'Em from Huntingdon Men's Tennis

September 1, 2025

Dear Supporters of Huntingdon Men’s Tennis:

There is excitement surrounding the Huntingdon College men’s tennis team this year as we begin a new semester! As you know, the sport of tennis teaches lessons and provides experiences that student-athletes will call upon throughout their lives. It has been a privilege for me to see this firsthand from our team as they handled last year’s challenges by strengthening their culture on and off the court. We are excited to welcome to campus a talented roster of young men who share my passion for the game and appreciate the role that being a student-athlete plays in their future.

The success of this program is in part due to the Huntingdon family. I continue to be humbled and amazed with the loyalty that alumni, family, and fans have for Huntingdon College. In addition to the beautiful campus, our faculty, staff, coaches, and administration make this a home for every student. The role you play in the men’s tennis family is just as critical to our growth year after year.

During the month of September, our team is reaching out for your support as we “Campaign for Champions!” We are asking for your donations to elevate our program to give the men the greatest motivation and opportunities to grow to new heights. Last year donations were used to purchase three sessions with a sport psychologist. These sessions greatly benefit our player’s mental game. Your gift during the 2025 Campaign for Champions will be used for more of these sessions and to also purchase cameras for videoing matches.

I am grateful for the generosity you have shown this program and the men. Your support makes a difference in a student-athlete’s experience at Huntingdon College and for the rest of their lives. Please consider giving to Campaign for Champions by making a check of any size payable to Huntingdon College Men’s Tennis or you can visit www.huntingdon.edu/give and select “Men’s Tennis” from the dropdown menu. On behalf of the team, thank you for supporting these incredible students and providing them with a first-class experience!

I hope to see you court side this spring.

Tony Franklin
