Huntingdon Celebrates Campus Updates in 2024-2025 Year

A number of Huntingdon College facilities received enhancements and improvements in the 2024-2025 academic year. The extensive list includes additions to campus housing offerings, and improvements to athletic venues and facility infrastructure. Huntingdon College President Anthony Leigh celebrated the investments made in facilities in the previous year.

“Through the Heart of Huntingdon Facilities Campaign and the Campaign for Champions initiative sponsored each year by our athletic teams, Huntingdon has been blessed by tremendous charitable giving by alumni and friends of the College that has fueled enhancements and additions to campus facilities. Whether we are growing residential occupancy, preserving historic academic spaces, or creating a better experience for our student-athletes, all of these projects have made Huntingdon a better place to live, learn, and play.”

Huntingdon's Chloe Parets

Named World Team Member Alternate

While most athletes might be looking for a time of rest and recovery following their first season of collegiate wrestling, Huntingdon's Chloe Parets had her eyes set on a much larger prize.

A dual citizen of the United States and Colombia, Chloe traveled to Bogotá, Colombia, in early June, with the opportunity to train and compete in the U20 National Championship (Campeonato Nacional U20), hosted by the Nariño Olympic Wrestling League (Liga Nariñense De Lucha Olimpica), wrestling 57kg (roughly 125 lbs). This national championship serves as a PanAmerican Qualifier, meaning that the winner of the 57kg class will be a Colombian World Team Member, and will go on to the U20 PanAmerican Championships in Lima, Peru this July.
